Welcome to Lily Moffatt Veterinary Physiotherapy.

My passion and love for veterinary physiotherapy comes from my own experience with a very large collection of farm and pet animals whom have had their fair share of veterinary diagnostics. From my own beagle with hip dysplasia to my ex-racehorse who retired with bilateral SDFT tendinitis to my beloved chicken who suffered a broken pelvis. I am proud to say all of my own animals live happily with the help of physiotherapy treatment, controlled exercises and management changes.

Veterinary Physiotherapy was my calling to provide alternative treatment and rehabilitation to all animals.

I have studied for a total of 5 years, firstly I began studying equine science at Hartpury University and graduated with a 1st class degree. Although most days you could find me riding out on the gallops, using a high speed treadmill and swimming racehorses working for Ed de Giles racing, before and after my lectures. I also worked alongside a canine behaviourist in the evenings which really developed my skills of handling and working with a variety of dogs.

I then studied at the University of Nottingham Veterinary school, specialising in Veterinary Physiotherapy. I now continually add to my techniques and skills through CPD and I always aim to provide the most effective treatment (backed by science) to my clients.

I have worked hard around studying to gain valuable experience with all different types of horses and dogs, from behavioural training in rescue dogs to riding dressage horses and breaking in youngstock.

I have worked first hand within the racing industry for flat, national hunt and point to point racing. I also worked as a Stud Groom at a very reputable stud where I helped to bring newborn foals into the world and raised them right through to their racing careers and then beyond this to re-training. Additionally I have experience in all other fields of equestrianism including working as a hunt groom, dressage yard, show-jumping training and eventing groom.

With dogs, I have experience training with hydrotherapy and post-surgical rehabilitation centres, general puppy and dog training and I have assisted with small-animal veterinary care. I am also trained in canine nutrition and behaviour, which can be very helpful alongside veterinary Physiotherapy to provide the best exercise and rehabilitation plan for you and your dog. I can also work with nervous dogs to help build a partnership where I am able to help without the dog becoming distressed.

I aim to always provide your animal with a positive experience and help to the best of my ability.

When I am not working, you may find me at the yard spending time with my own horses, walking my dogs or helping on my partners small farm where we raise rare breed cows and sheep. My life resolves around animals, although I do also enjoy going down to the local pub- The Royal Oak at Car Colston, I always accept drinks being left behind the bar as a tip!
